Hello!,  First you would divide 72 by 12 which would be....6 okay 6 adults. Second you would divide 72 by 9 witch is...... 8 kids 6 adults 8 kids

You would just plug in numbers until you find two the work in the equation:12x+9y=72x=3 y=4The correct answer is 3 adult tickets and 4 child tickets.
