An allergic reaction in the body can increase the percentage of Eosinophils that is present in the blood. Any normal human blood contains about 1% to 2% of the total number of White Blood Corpuscles (WBC). During an allergy the percentage can go to as high as 20% to 30% of WBC present. Eosinophils are actually specialized type of blood cells that react by increasing during any allergic reactions in the body. Eosinophils also increase during any parasitic infection in the stomach.
